The COE hosted on 7 January, the visit of the Secretary of State for Fisheries and the Sea, Eng. Salvador Malheiro, as part of his visit to the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute.
During the visit, the mission of the NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence was presented, highlighting its role as a NATO reference in the fields of Military Meteorology and Military Oceanography, as well as its main activities, projects, and contributions to enhancing Allied capabilities and interoperability.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the work developed by the COE and its relevance in supporting operational decision-making, maritime security, and international cooperation.
