The NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence was an active participant in the recent CWIX24 exercise. Sanctioned by the NATO Military Committee, CWIX is a key annual event aimed at enhancing interoperability. By participating in this exercise, the Centre aimed to ensure the interoperability of GEOMETOC capabilities.
CWIX24 brought together more than 2,500 participants to test more than 490 capabilities, fostering a collaborative atmosphere that transcended national boundaries and service branches. For more than two and a half decades, CWIX has been a cornerstone in the testing and development of technologies and standards to facilitate effective information sharing across all military domains.
The involvement of the Centre in the CWIX24 GeoMetOc Focus Area enriched the exercise by testing the GEOMETOC information catalogues and assessing the participants' alignment with the ongoing development of GEOMETOC services for future Federated Mission Networking spirals.
The NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence remains committed to supporting future editions of CWIX, thereby enhancing our contribution to achieving "Day Zero" interoperability of GEOMETOC information and capabilities.
