The NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence and the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC), a research center of Instituto Superior Técnico, have signed a Cooperation Arrangement to strengthen collaboration in the field of operational ocean modelling.
This partnership will foster joint research, innovation, training, and knowledge exchange in key areas, including operational ocean products, artificial intelligence applications, air–sea interaction, and maritime unmanned systems. It will also support the organization of workshops and exercises, while creating internship opportunities for master's students.
By bringing together operational expertise and academic research, this agreement reinforces the shared commitment of both organizations to advancing maritime science and developing innovative solutions that support the maritime operational community.
