On the 12th October, the recent established NATO Maritime Geospatial, Meteorological and Oceanographic Centre of Excellence (MGEOMETOC COE) received the visit of the Minister of National Defence of Greece, Mr.
Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, in the presence of the Chief of the Portuguese Naval Staff, Admiral António Mendes Calado.
During the visit, the Minister expressed his high appreciation for
the MGEOMETOC COE establishment and revealed the interest of Greece to eventually join this Centre in the future.
MGEOMETOC COE is focused on the transformation efforts of NATO, Allied Nations and Partners. In becoming an internationally recognized hub of expertise in the field of Maritime GEOMETOC, this Centre constitutes a contribution to NATO Maritime Posture.
