12 November 2204 – The NATO Maritime GEOMETOC Centre of Excellence held its 9th Steering Committee Meeting in Lisbon, chaired by Rear Admiral João Marreiros of the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute. The sponsoring nations Portugal, Romania, Spain, and Türkiye participated, as well as observers from Estonia, France, Greece and the USA, with special attendance by the Estonian Ambassador to Portugal, Mrs Moonika Kase.
Key decisions included the approval of six out-of-cycle requests for support, the 2025 work programme and budget, amendments to financial and administrative procedures, and the planning of new COE facilities.
