Under the initiative to promote the establishment in Portugal of a NATO Center of Excellence (COE) in the Maritime GEOMETOC domain, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defence, the Armed Forces General Staff and the Portuguese Navy met at the Hydrographic Institute.
This meeting took place on 8th of November 2019, and made it possible to make a status of NATO MARITIME GEOMETOC COE establishment process and to define lines of action for the 2nd Establishment Conference, facilitating the collaboration of
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense, the Armed Forces General Staff in the international promotion of this Portuguese initiative.
